Founded in 1930 as Illinois Lock Company, they have evolved past creating locks to becoming an integral part of their client’s engineering process.
With a global manufacturing presence with three plants in the major metropolitan areas of Chicago, Shenzhen, and Taipei to more efficiently support customers, they needed a company name, logo, and website that reflected the growth of their organization. Their new logo features a brass shield to reflect their brass lock heritage, their unique tagline [Solutions: Secured] represents the full capabilities of their organization while maintaining an emphasis on what got them there.
When we approached their website redesign, we wanted to create tools their team could use to engage with engineers. By integrating our innovative product filtering tool, we were able to implement the filtering tools that their customers needed to quickly sort through their extensive product line. Once a product is selected, engineers can request samples, customization, and download 2D and 3D files.
The next step was to design an interactive industries section so the ILC team would be able to highlight custom and stock products that integrate across a variety of industries. To protect their proprietary solutions from being seen by competitors, we created a registration system that allows ILC to block specific domain names from accessing this section of the website. Not only does this keep their data behind a layer of secrecy, but it also creates a lead generation tool, capturing the email addresses of customers looking for solutions in their industry.
